shakira and the girls

This morning Shakira and the girls had an encounter with honey boys woe mbili went like a wind and up to now she is still not with her mother and the sisters.
Poor mbili but this is the way to go if they will ever be in-depended, Life in the wild can be so had but not too bad it just look like.
We will update you on how there are doing if this is the beginning of a long road to freedom.
The mara is full of action.

Salaams to you all

Really hope Mbili is alright. Is she probably just hiding out somewhere, scared to death? Hope Shakira finds her soon!

There is never a dull moment for you Jackson.

Where in the Mara does one find Honey's Boys typically? We saw them when they were cubs in August 2006. We are thinking about going to the Mara in late November specifically to see them. I believe I have seen that they have quite a range but is there some area they tend to frequent these days?

I hope Mbili is fine and Shakira did a great job with the girls. it must be time for them all to go their seperate ways. And the Honey Boys seem they they rule the roost> but they are boys and their strength together must really show. They must have a feeling for the girls. they seem to have a lot of encounters.

Jackson,

There have been several articles in the press about the drought being the worst in 40 years (e.g. http://www.independent.co.uk/news/world/africa/the-great-drought-disaster-looms-in-east-africa-1797003.html). How are the animals and communities of the Mara fairing?

Hi Jackson,
I know that you call The Mara home. You are so lucky to be able to live and work in a wonderful and magical place.
How do you feel when you go out into the Mara? Does it still feel great to be up close with all the animals, or do you get a little bored doing it every day?
I don't think I could ever tire of doing what you do. Good luck to you and everyone that's doing such a magnificent job at the Mara.
