notch family

Notch running for his life.

Dear all
I have been too busy in the mara did not have a min to breezes,
After all we are not complaining tourism is a good thing gives as jobs to look after our families.

Notch big headache
Olkiombo male.
In the early morning we had this thunder of roar from lions quik we went to our suprise notch is gone to trouble olkiombo pride with his sons.
Neither did he now the boys of Olkiombo are very strong and the sons got really scared of them.
Notch run run poor thing, we said as the two of olkiombo pride on there tail, Notch and his boys did not run for long before they turn around and give the Olkiombo boys such a had time until they split in one every one was out of the forest including binti, worthogs, impalas extra.

Binti flash out by notch.
What a powerful boy notch.

A few days later he was limping I think must have run into more trouble.
And today near the serena pump house relax not worry thinking about how to conger the next pride.
Notch have now taken over the ridge pride and paradise pride not long before he get to the mash.

Salaams to you all,

Jackson Looseyia.

I have just spent some happy time catching up with all of your blogs. I have not been too well, so have fallen behind and am disappointed as our planned trip to the Mara has had to be postponed until next year.
Wow! What a boy Notch is. King of the Mara and who would have thought it at his age!
It is so good to hear that all the Big Cats are healthy and doing so well. I guess it will not be too long before Shakira (Sita) separates from her daughters. Let's hope they go on to be as successful hunters and Mums as Shakira has been.

I hope I am not breaking any forum rules here but I would like to make a plea. Could everone visit the CCF website: www.cheetah.org/?nd=ccf bush project. They have been chosen as 1 of 12 finalists for World Challenge 2009, a global initiative of BBC World News and Newsweek. You are able to vote for the CCF bush project at www.theworldchallenge.co.uk.
There is lots of info on the CCF website, but a vote for this project is a vote for the Cheetah!
Thanks everyone - let's hope they win!

Thanks again Jackson for all your work that keeps us in touch with our favourite place on Earth. We wish we could work in your Office!!

Jambo Jackson,

my God! Notch taking over Ridge Pride and running from the Olkiombo guys must have been really awesome to watch. It is definitely a milestone for the Mara lion prides history.

Alessandra is worried about the cubs of the ridge Pride - now that Notch took over, she is afraid that they might be in danger...Tell us if they are enough old to Notch tolerated them or if the mothers with cubs had to runaway from Notch to keep the cubs safe.

Salaams,
Cassio.

Jambo Jackson,
WOW what a boy our Notch is, so proud of him but I bet Binti isn't for flushing her out, she looks good though doesn't she.
I am with Alessandra on her worries for the Ridge pride cubs, hopefully you can answer that one Jackson for us.
Also if Notch and his sons bid a take over of the Marsh pride it would be a worry for any young cubs there too and also I would hate any tussle between the Marsh Pride boys and Notch, that would be sad.
Glad all seems well in your office Jackson, if a little busy.
Take care

Hi Alessandra,
Notch is still limping after that run he is an old wise boy haa bless him,
As a matter of facts the cubs within the ridge pride are ok they will not be kill like the little ones since they have grown big now.
one of the mothers have taken them away from the trouble areas and I am sure they will be fine.
The problem is the boys in pride they are small to be hunting if the whole pride goes with notch boys which live them with no option but run away from the pride it this happened then we know some of them will die with hunger but at this point the mother is looking after them do not worry.
Big hug hug

Dear littlewid,
Your right about the mash pride cubs they are smaller than the ridge pride cubs,
the mash pride is more larger than the ridge pride it will take some detamination from notch boys to take over.
the males in the mash pride are not stroger than Notch boys but they have a real back up from the females.
If they go towards the marsh it will more painful but this will take a while since they are busy at paradise plains looking after the little cubs.
I would thing the future of this boys is to brake up and this where the problem may be with prides such as the marsh pride if this happen
The main danger will be the Three graces cubs they very small if any thing happen to Clawed and Romeo this are fist to be affected but do not worry about this now all well every one is good.
