The Boy is Old but still strong

Dear Friends,

After some time in camp now Notch had taken the area with his sons and not any Male lion can withstand the power of this Old male.
They had taken over the old Ridge pride some time ago now had matted waiting for new notchers.

Just before my tea arrive to my tent I had been listening the roar from them and then the radio call Notch is out here then I got quickly and went strait to look for him.
I do love this boy once you meet him then you know why he is call the King of the mara.
Love

Jackson Looseyia.

Oh, this is truly wonderful seeing Notch, and what great pictures you've taken Jackson, thank you. There are some great pictures of the cats on the Big Cat Diary facebook. Everyone may wish to check out the page, Big Cat Diary Live, where the Natural History Unit states they'd love to bring BCD back and want some feedback. So, if you haven't posted your support....go do it. Because I'm having BCD withdrawal (smile). At least Animal Planet is having a BCD marathon here in the states on Thursday afternoon....so that will give me a 'temporary fix'. I'm hoping that Notch will still be around when filming starts next year (fingers crossed). What a reunion it'll be.

Hi Jackson, thanks for the updates on Notch. Can you please share news on Marsh pride - are Romeo and Claude still in charge ? OR, is Notch and gang planning a take-over there as well ? I presume some (if not all) of his sons are born in Marsh pride !

Any news on Shakira ?

Best wishes to you and all other Big Cat Fans,
Anindya.

Oh how I look forward to these updates! I miss the show sooo much, and I've learned so much from it as well! I just love that Old Notch is still alive and well and going strong. It is how it should be.
How wonderful it would be to sit and have tea with you Jackson, and to listen to all of your stories.
May God continue to bless you.

One of the members of our Forum Wild About Animals has just been to book her honymoon in the Mara. The Africa specialist at the travel agents told her that BCD/BCL had been booked in at Governers Camp in September. Just wondered if you had heard anything.
We could do with everyone on here supporting the return of BCD/BCL on the Big Cat Diary Live page on Facebook.
It's great to see the grand old fellow Notch. Has there ever or will there ever be a greater Lion than him

We have just found out from another member of our Forum who is friends with Jonathan & Angela Scott. Thats its not BCD/BCL that is booked in at Governers in September. It's Jonathan & Angela they are filming a programe called Lions The Truth for the BBC, and Jonathan is presenting.
Sorry for any confusion

Ahhh, you had me going there! Hahahaha, I'm hopeful that they will book Big Cat Diary crew sometime in the future. Fingers are crossed for summer 2011.

It had us going as well Anonymous. We get Jonathans News Letter on our Forum, and he said sometime ago that he was going to film Lions the Truth, but the Travel Agents must have assumed that with the BBC booking it that it was BCD. Jonathan says he is hopeing that there will be one in 2011. Thats why we are all pushing on FaceBook. Arnt you going to the Mara in September, if so you might be around when they are filming

Exciting news about Jonathan and Angie filming in the Mara. We will be at Bateleur for a short while and what fun it would be to catch some of the action. I am even more excited with hopes of seeing all the big cats and the migration. Hopefully the herds will still be there.

Dear Jackson,

Thank you for the beautiful pictures of Notch! I hope to see Notch and his pride, the cheetahs and leopards in September on my first visit to the Masai Mara. It's because of Big Cat Diary that I decided to go to Africa to see these magnificent cats!
