Hi Jackson, thank you so much for keeping us up-to-date about our beloved big cats, especially the Marsh pride members. Have you seen Romeo and Bibi? Also White Eye?
I had Notch and his sons are ok near the Talek area we had seven days but we did not see them busy with Marsh pride Olive and cubs the time went so fast
Dear Little, I am sad to tell you White Eye is no longer with us I do not know where Romeo is he mays still be some were in the Maasai Mara looking for a place to rest but Bibi is just about to have cubs,
Hi Jackson! So sorry to hear about White Eye. I been a late comer to Big Cat Diary about 5 years ago, feel in love with them all, especially Notch, Toto(poor guy) Half Tail and so on. I would like to know what your take is on Notch and what he is doing. To me, it seems like he's changing the way Lions deal with their sons when they get older. He's been keeping them and taking over a major part of the mara. Is this unusual? Are we witnessing something new in nature with notch wanting to help preserve his race? My wife and I are just amazed. We hope that there will be some knew video/show in the future that picks up where we left off. You and Big Cat Diary has become a major part of our family. Thank you so much for your hard work! Wishing you the best! -ZoWillie-
Fantastic photos, Jackson, thank you. It saddens me also to hear that White Eye is no longer with us, or Honey, Toto, Half-Tail, Bella. Don't know what I'll do when Notch crosses the Rainbow Bridge! Any words on Sala, Solo, Cheza, Chui (Bella's son)...glad to hear Bibi is still with us. I envy your 'office' atmosphere!
Dear Jackson< It is Jan 2, 2013. I am so glad that you keep those of us forever in love with these Big Cats! I am wondering what opportunties are available for visiting the Mara this year? Nina
My main talent is guiding and it will always be guiding for the rest of my life, I believe strongly in passing knowledge on to others. I am married to Ann and we are blessed with 5 children all working
hard at school in Narok and in Nakuru. They may
have an interest in tourism but we can never predict we just hope like any other parent.

Thanks Jackson. Good to know that the Marsh pride is thriving albeit with newer members. Any news on Notch?

Dear Judy,
Lions sleep most the time remember they eat a lot of meat that means they need to spend some time digesting,
Kind Regards,
Jackson.
Thanks Jackson for answering my query about Notch and for the sad update on white eye

Solo was killed by other male lions some time ago. I read it on Big Cat Diary website. I am sorry he is gone. He overcame much adversity.
What happened to Bella?
Does anyone know how old Notch is? He's one of my favorites.
